Wilson County TN...USA Swimming has recognized Excel Aquatics as a Level 3 Team in the Club Recognition Program (CRP). The CRP "encourages clubs to establish organizational goals and to benchmark their progress toward those goals. The ultimate objective of the program is to strengthen the club system in USA Swimming by guiding clubs through a development process that ultimately positions the program and its coaches to better serve athletes." There are 4 Levels in the CRP, with Level 4 being the highest recognition. As of today, Excel Aquatics is the only Level 3 team in Tennessee, and the only team with training facilities in Sumner County at any level of recognition. There is a qualitative difference in the professional structures of clubs.

Sumner County TN...Excel Swimmers have a busy January. First off is the visit by Ian Crocker to Excel on January 5th. Then the Excel vs. NAC Dual Meet takes place on Jan 11th, the Excel Aquatics MS/HS Invitational on Jan 12th, the Pilot Swim Meet in Knoxville on Jan 18-20th, followed by the High School Region Meet (hosted by Excel) on Jan 25th. Sumner County TN...5 swimmers from Sumner County traveled down to Manchester to participate in the Tullahoma Swim Club's Great Pumpkin Swim Meet. David Cox, Sara Cox, Jimmie Joe Boone, Griffin Garrison and Maggie Greene turned in some great performances, and dropped time in the process. Congratulations to all!

Sumner County TN...Next up on the docket for Sumner County swimmers is the NAC October Open in Nashville, on Oct 13th and 14th. After that the younger squads will be traveling to Tullahoma on October 20th to swim in Tullahoma Swim Club's meet.

Sumner County TN...Placement Trials have concluded with Excel Aquatics and the regular season training begins in a few days. If you were unable to make the Placement Trials, stop on by at any time of your choosing. Excel welcomes new swimmers at any time during the year with a free week's worth of trying us out during practice.

Sumner County TN...Placement Trials are continuing with Excel Aquatics with new faces joining the returning swimmers. Regular Season Practice Schedule resumes on Tuesday September 4th. The first meet of the year is Excel Aquatics Fall Fest Swim Meet, September 21-23 in Brentwood TN.

Sumner County TN...Excel Aquatics has released their 2007-2008 Meet Schedule. Highlights of the schedule include new scheduled meets in Indianapolis Natatorium in November, and the Age Group Sectionals in North Carolina in March.

Sumner County TN...The 2007 SES Long Course Championship Meet concluded this past weekend, with 9 swimmers, trained by Excel Aquatics at the Gallatin Civic Center, contributing to the success of Excel Aquatics 3rd Place finish. The Swimmers trained locally scored 92 Individual Points, and participated on Relays contributing another 138 points for Excel Aquatics. Excel Aquatics - There is a measurable Qualitative Superiority.

Sumner County TN...Three new SES Qualifying Cuts were achieved by Sumner County Residents competing for Excel Aquatics in the Summer Sizzler Swim Meet this past weekend. Paige Scheriger added to her total with a Qualifying Time in the 11&12 Girl's 50 Meter Freestyle. Madison Kolbe attained a Qualifying Time in the 11&12 Girl's 50 Meter Breaststroke, while first time SES Qualifier Schuyler Daniel attained a cut in the 10&Under Girl's 100 Meter Backstroke.

Sumner County TN...The Excel Stars&Stripes Meet concluded this past weekend, with several more SES LC Championship Meet Qualifying Times set by Sumner County Residents: Kathryn George - Girl’s 13&14 100 Meter Breaststroke, 13&14 200 Meter Breaststroke, 15&16 200 Meter Breaststroke, and Senior 200 Meter Breaststroke. Brittany Zobl - Girls 13&14 100 Meter Freestyle and 200 Meter Backstroke. Sumner County TN...The annual Excel Aquatics Spring Tune-Up for Summer League swimmers concludes tomorrow. A record number of swimmers representing Blue Grass Country Club, Cages Bend Swim Club, Fairvue Plantation Country Club, and Indian Lake Swim Club participated.

Sumner County TN...The PACK Long Course Meet concluded this past weekend, and new SES times were added by 11 year old Paige Scheriger in the 100 Meter Breaststroke and the 100 Meter Backstroke, bringing her total to 3. Paige won the Girls 11&12 Breaststroke, and placed second in the 50 Meter Breaststroke by .01 seconds. Brittany Zobl obtained a cut in the 50 Meter Breaststroke, turning in a blistering 29.55, good for second place in the Girls 13&14 category. Zobl brings her total of SES cuts to 2, with more within reach.

Sumner County TN...Excel Aquatics, a local swim team with more Southeastern Swimming Qualifying Swimmers who live in Sumner County than any other team, has been named as a USA Swimming Club of Excellence, Silver Medal category, for 2007. This is the FIFTH year in a row for this national recognition for Excel Aquatics. Excel = Undeniable Quality.

Wilson County TN....Sumner County swimmers were honored by Excel Aquatics at the Excel Annual Banquet this afternoon in Franklin TN. Schuyler Daniel, a 3rd Grader from Gallatin was awarded the "Excel Award" for the Silver II training squad. The Excel Award is given out on a yearly basis to the swimmer who best represents the ideals of Excel Aquatics: Leadership, Dedication, Positive Attitude and Determination. Sumner County TN....The Summer training schedule has been released for Excel Aquatics. Training will conducted at a total of 5 pools during the summer schedule which runs May 29th through July 22nd. No other team offers so many options to meet the needs of their families.

Sumner County TN....Training is continuing in preparation for the first Long Course meet of the season for Sumner County swimmers, when they travel to the UT Pool in Knoxville to participate in a the first highly competitive meet of the young Long Course season on May 4th. Sumner County TN....April is rapidly shaping up to be a terrific time for swimming involving Sumner County residents. Residents who swim for Excel are starting their training for Long Course season, with the eye towards adding more qualifying times for the LC Championship at the end of July and proving once again that Excel produces more Championship caliber swimmers from Sumner County than all other clubs. Midway through April, the Summer League Tune-Up will begin with a record number of attendees proving once again that quality matters. Finally, at the end of April, Sumner County residents will be gathering at the Excel Annual Banquet to come together and be a team as they are recognized for their achievements this past year.
