The Sumner County High School Championship Meet was first held in December 2008, when Pope John Paul II High School Swim Coach John Barnes worked with Excel Aquatics to bring the meet to fruition. With great sadness, Coach John Barnes announced his retirement from Excel Aquatics on Dec 18, to be effective on Dec 31, 2009. While he may not be on deck anymore, we shall still hear his voice as he takes on the role of parent, free of constraints. His first mission will be find out if the rumors about a coach's behavior in Mexico are true. |
