Regional Home School Swim Program
In the Spring of 2007, TISCA approved a request
that Home School Students be allowed to compete and score points as a team at the
State of Tennessee High School Swimming and Diving Championships. The
approved team for the Middle Tennessee area is Middle Tennessee Home Education

Recognizing the growing population of Home School Students in the Mid-State region, Excel Aquatics is offering swim programs geared specifically for Home School Students. These opportunities take place at convenient times for families that choose to Home School. The Home School Swim Program is being held at the Brentwood/Williamson Co. Indoor Sports Complex. Times vary, so visit www.ExcelAquatics.org for more information. With appropriate demand we are willing to discuss starting an extension of the Home School Swim Program in Sumner County during the day. Home School students do participate at Excel's Sumner County training facility in Gallatin during evening practice hours.
Competitive swimming is a wonderful opportunity for your student to get a good physical workout, interact with other students, and travel when appropriate for the child's swimming career. Excel Aquatics have been involved with unique and dedicated opportunities for Home School Swimming for years.
Excel Swimmers have the opportunity to compete in swim meets throughout the year. Meet locations can be Local, Regional, and National. Participation in Meets is encouraged, and will require registration of the swimmer with USA Swimming. The coach will determine what meets would be beneficial for each swimmer. Competition in Meets, and their times attained in the events, is one of the best measuring tools utilized when gauging the swimmer's improvements. Final decision of meet participation is always left to the parents.
